Most of the decisions that determine whether a company wins or loses a deal are made before the first conversation happens. A buyer evaluating a shortlist of three suppliers has already formed a tier hierarchy — who is the preferred partner, who is the acceptable alternative, who is the price check — before a proposal is submitted or a call is taken. The intellectual foundation of Highly Persuasive’s work is the application of behavioural science — specifically, how buyers make decisions under uncertainty — to the commercial positioning challenges that mid-market companies face. Buyers don’t evaluate rationally. They evaluate through heuristics: signals of quality, signals of risk, signals of peer credibility, signals of tier. Those heuristics can be understood, measured, and engineered. That is what we do.

In most cases, it isn’t a sales problem. The brand is failing to do something specific: give buyers the internal confidence to commit. That gap — between what a company can actually deliver and what the market feels is safe to choose — is what I’ve spent the past decade learning to find and close.
I founded Highly Persuasive in 2014 around a single insight: that commercial belief can be engineered. That the friction creating hesitation in a buyer’s mind isn’t random — it follows predictable psychological patterns, it has a diagnosable structure, and it responds to deliberate narrative and positioning work.
The clients I work with are typically founders, CEOs, and senior growth leadership in mid-market B2B companies. They’re strong operators who’ve built something credible — and they’re still losing ground to competitors who present more convincingly than they perform. That asymmetry is the problem.
My particular lens is cross-cultural commercial fluency. Working across Asian, Middle Eastern, and Western procurement environments for over a decade means I’ve built positioning that has to hold across fundamentally different trust frameworks, risk cultures, and decision-making norms. That’s a different challenge than most brand strategists have navigated — and it’s where a significant amount of the intellectual depth in the work comes from.
